Semester Opening for the summer semester 2026

The department cordially invites all architecture students to the semester opening on April 1 in the upper floor of the former "Druckhaus" of the Siegener Zeitung at Häutebachweg 17. At the event, the topics for final theses and designs as well as the contents of the elective modules/specializations in summer semester 26 for Bachelor (from 3rd semester) and Master students will be presented.

The event begins at 10:00 a.m. with an introduction by Susanne Engelmann from the International Office on opportunities for stays abroad during your studies with a special focus on internships (approx. 15 minutes).

Achim Wollscheid will then present the BDA trainee program Trax for qualified further education and professional orientation for students with a Bachelor's degree (approx. 15 minutes).

This will be followed by a presentation of the range of all design and thesis topics as well as specializations/elective modules for summer semester 2026. Individual topics will not be presented if they are not open to the general public. On the day after the event (02.04.), all presentations on the topics and content will also be published in moodle.

10:30-11:30 a.m.: Presentation of the design and final thesis topics for BA and MA, 5-minute slot/topic

13:00-15:00: Presentation of the range of elective modules for BA and MA, 5-minute slot/topic

This will be followed by the exhibition of the Master's theses from 16:30 and the certificate ceremony including award ceremony at 17:00.
