Rethinking campus life: creating space for encounters
The festival, organized by the Schools of Media and Cultural Studies, offered a platform for creative minds and academic exchange. In lectures such as "Media as a mirror of society", the social and cultural influences of film, television and digital formats were highlighted. The interactive workshops enabled participants to become active themselves - from short film productions to creative photography. "Our aim is to view media not just as a consumer good, but as a tool for building social bridges," emphasized Prof. Dr. Katharina Müller, who chaired the event.
Campus life rethought
In addition to the academic program, the festival was a lively meeting place on campus. The canteen was transformed into a market of opportunities where local initiatives from the fields of social affairs, culture and sustainability presented their projects. Musical acts by student bands and an open-air movie screening rounded off the experience. Particular emphasis was placed on the commitment of the participants, who described the event as "a unique opportunity to gain new perspectives and make new contacts". The university plans to establish the festival as an integral part of campus life in the future.
