Study on the Emotional Impact of Virtual Learning Environments in Churches Published

The impact of virtual learning environments on students’ knowledge has now been well documented. However, there is less evidence regarding whether such learning environments also have an emotional impact. This is of crucial importance, particularly for education in sacred spaces, because visits to these sites are specifically intended to help students experience the atmosphere and aura of these places. For this reason, a study conducted by the two religious education departments at the University of Siegen examined whether the affective effects of a physical visit to Siegen’s St. Martin’s Church differ from those of a virtual visit. The results can be found here
