University of Siegen professor appointed to editorial board of major psychotherapy series
Prof. Dr. Tim Klucken, Professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Schools II of the University of Siegen, has been appointed to the editorial board of the long-established book series "Standards der Psychotherapie" and "Fortschritte der Psychotherapie".
The specialist series "Fortschritte der Psychotherapie" is one of the oldest specialist series in clinical psychology and psychotherapy in the German-speaking world. Since it was founded in 1998, it has provided up-to-date knowledge on the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders in a practice-oriented and scientifically sound manner. It is one of the best-known series in clinical psychology and psychotherapy in the German-speaking world; the 99th volume will be published shortly. Previous focus topics include "Virtual reality in psychotherapy", "Autism in adulthood" and "Loneliness". The focus is on the information that therapists need in their daily practice.
As a specialist series, "Standards of Psychotherapy" defines how psychotherapeutic methods and techniques can best be implemented according to the latest scientific knowledge. Previous topics have included "Patient information and self-determined patient decisions", "Behavioral experiments" and "Relaxation".
Prof. Tim Klucken has held the Chair of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the University of Siegen's Schools II since 2016. Since 2020, he has headed the psychotherapeutic university outpatient clinic in the city center, which is available to all people with mental disorders. His research focuses on addiction and anxiety disorders as well as psychotherapy.
