Preparatory Courses for Winter Semester 2025/26
Faculty III: School of Economic Disciplines
Preparatory course in Mathematics for Economists
The course is aimed at first-year bachelor's students of Faculty III in the following degree programs:
- Business Administration
- Economics
- Business Information Systems
Participation in the preparatory course is voluntary, but strongly recommended.
Students in Business Information Systems should also note the preparatory course in Programming offered by Faculty IV (see below).
Note for Business Information Systems students:
In the winter semester 2025/2026, the preparatory course on Programming in Faculty IV overlaps with Welcome Week events in Faculty III.
The preparatory course "Programming" is aimed at students interested in gaining initial programming experience before starting their regular studies/semester. It can be particularly helpful preparation for Business Information Systems students, as the compulsory course "Object Orientation and Functional Programming (OFP)" follows in the summer semester. This applies in particular to students who have no previous experience with the subject at either an academic or private level.
However, as the preparatory course in programming is offered every semester, it can also be attended later. When starting your studies, it is therefore advisable to concentrate fully on the Welcome Week and the preparatory courses of Faculty III.
