Registering or deregistering services
Coursework and examinations must be registered for independently by students in unisono. The deadlines for this are announced each semester.
Registration is always required if you wish to complete an ungraded or graded coursework, even if you have already registered with the lecturer for participation in the seminar, etc. Please make sure to check whether your registration in unisono has worked!
If the unisono registration does not work for technical reasons, please send an email with the required information (examiner, examination number, CP, graded or ungraded coursework) to the BISO Examinations Office immediately, i.e. on the last day of registration at the latest.
Students who have not registered by the deadline are not permitted to complete any coursework/examination work.
Registration for third attempts is only possible via the Examinations Office. Please contact the Examinations Office by email.
Repeat examinations for which there is no possibility of compensation in the event of a final failure are assessed by at least two examiners.
If you wish to withdraw from the registration, please contact the Examinations Office in writing at least 7 days before the examination date. Once the withdrawal period has expired, you can only withdraw with a valid reason (e.g. illness).
If deadlines have been set for the provision of services, you can cancel your registration via unisono no later than 1 week before the set date. If it is a make-up date, you can deregister via unisono one day before the set date.
If no dates have been set for the performance of the service, you can withdraw from the performance of the service at any time up to the end of the respective semester (31.03. or 30.09.).
A later deregistration can only be made due to illness (medical certificate). The certificate must be submitted to the Examinations Office immediately, i.e. 3 working days after the examination date, together with the form "Withdrawal from coursework due to illness".
During your studies, you have the opportunity to have a failed module examination assessed as a free attempt up to three times in the BA program and up to twice in the MA program. To do this, submit an informal application by email to the Examinations Office within four weeks of the announcement of the examination result in unisono, stating your matriculation number and the examination in question.
The Bachelor's or Master's thesis is excluded from the free attempt regulation.
