Important: The test will not take place for applications for the winter semester 2025/26 and will not be taken into account.

From winter semester 23/24, the University of Siegen plans to include the result of a local aptitude test in the application process. This is not the Germany-wide aptitude test for the Bachelor of Psychology. 45% of the test result is added to the overall score to determine the ranking order, 55% is calculated from the total points (grade points according to Appendix 1 + credit weighting points according to Appendix 2). Due to the additive nature of the test, participation can only improve the result. The test requires a binding registration and participation is by invitation only. Participation in the test is not linked to the right to a study place and does not include the examination of the special requirements for admission to the Master's program.

General study ability:

• 25 questions on numerical reasoning
• 30 questions on figural reasoning

Subject-specific knowledge of individual content areas:

• 15 questions on the content areas of social psychology, developmental psychology, general psychology, differential psychology
• 15 questions on psychological research methods
• 10 questions on statistics
• 10 questions on psychological diagnostics

Subject-specific knowledge of clinical psychology and professional ethics:

• 15 questions on clinical psychology and psychotherapy
• 5 questions on professional ethics
