I lead the Psychological Assessment and Differential Psychology working group in the School of Education, Architecture and the Arts in Faculty II—Education, Architecture, and the Arts—and this is also the focus of my teaching. My research focuses on describing, measuring, and predicting behavior in everyday life, primarily using diary studies and experience sampling. I am also interested in science communication, practical applications, and supporting the next generation of researchers.

In meiner Promotion befasse ich mich mit der Wahrnehmung psychopathologisch relevanter Situationen. In meiner Dissertation beschäftige ich mich mit der Entwicklung eines Messinstruments zur Erfassung von Situationswahrnehmung in klinischen Stichproben und Anwendungsbereichen. Ziel ist es dabei, ein Instrument zu entwickeln, welches die querschnittliche Erfassung interindividueller Unterschiede in Situationswahrnehmung ermöglicht und welches theoretisch und empirisch mit bestehenden, nicht-klinischen Taxonomien der Situationswahrnehmung integriert ist. Mithilfe des Instruments möchte ich anschließend Zusammenhänge zwischen Psychopathologie und Situationswahrnehmung, beispielsweise in Form von Kontingenzen zwischen Situationen und (dysfunktionalen) Verhaltensweisen bzw. Symptomen, untersuchen.
