Initial and new installations

ZIMT offers the initial and new installation service for workstation devices procured from the university's framework agreement with the associated Windows license.

In brief

  • Prerequisites: The device was procured via the university's framework agreement, including the associated operating system license.

     

  • Costs: 45€*1 (see new installations and devices outside the framework agreement)
  • Operating systems: Windows, MacOS*2

     

  • Software:
    • Browsers such as Firefox and Chrome
    • Adobe Reader
    • Office (MS 365)
    • WebEx
    • VLC Media Player
    • 7-zip
    • Eduroam
    • eduVPN Client

 

Notes:

If required, the SupportDesk can also provide support for booking and setting up standard software such as eduroam, M365 or Adobe CC.

 

*1New installations , as well as initial installations of devices that were not procured via the framework agreement, are charged at a flat rate of €45 to the responsible cost center

 

*2For new installations of MacOS devices, it must be ensured that the device is not connected to an Apple ID that can no longer be accessed. In this case, you must first contact Apple Support.
