PatOrg is a patent and license management system of the University of Siegen that enables the efficient management and tracking of patents and licenses. It supports the management of patent applications, license agreements and intellectual property through a structured and user-friendly platform.

Great flexibility
What makes PatOrg special is its flexibility, which has allowed the system to mature into a genuine standard software package; today it is used successfully by law firms, companies, research institutions and exploitation companies. Thanks to PatOrg's application-oriented design, the system can be set up easily and without knowledge of an abstract programming language such as Visual Basic or SQL. Your configuration, which reflects the individuality of your organization and the uniqueness of your services, is separate from the software in your hands, which makes PatOrg's further development, updates and training much easier.
Associated document management
PatOrg also manages your documents. Every document created is automatically filed and linked to related files (families), persons, deadlines and more according to your specifications. E-mails can be conveniently imported using an Outlook add-in and attachments can also be separated if necessary. For incoming documents, relevant data records are suggested for linking based on a content analysis. PatOrg's document management system offers a live document preview for a variety of formats, allowing users to quickly browse through the electronic file.
Fast document and e-mail generation
The automatic, true-to-template generation of documents is one of PatOrg's absolute strengths and offers far more than the production of simple RTF files! Complex Word, Outlook and PDF documents including links and graphics can be easily defined in the form of Word and Outlook templates without any knowledge of SQL or VBA. Email templates can be attached to Word templates as (encrypted) attachments so that emails can be generated together with attached Word or PDF documents in a single step. PatOrg can also be used to automatically fill out Word and PDF forms.
