The trumpet and organ are usually regarded as the two shining lights among instruments - in brilliant D major, they radiate festivity, brilliance, joy and optimism. This evening's program takes a slightly different path: it ventures into unexplored territory - in search of the countless and undiscovered nuances, the infinite shades of color and expression that these two magnificent instruments also contain, and takes us into a rich, enchanting world of sound full of magic, sparkling flashes of light and darkly echoing abysses.

A decade ago, trumpeter Paul Hübner from Berlin began a multiple career as a sensational young star as a trumpeter, composer and performance artist and is now regarded as one of the most distinguished artists of New Music, who is a permanent fixture on the 'scene' with appearances at major festivals (Vienna, Witten, Warsaw Autumn, Donaueschingen etc.) and collaborations with major ensembles (ensemble modern, WDR Radio Symphony Orchestra etc.).
