Alumni Reunion
Even though graduation is duly celebrated at the Schools’ commencement ceremonies, graduation doesn’t have to mean saying goodbye. You can return to the university for a variety of events and gatherings held for all sorts of occasions and stay connected to the University of Siegen.
Homecoming to the University
Stay connected—we’ll organize your homecoming for you! Keep feeling connected to your university and other alumni, and know that you’re always welcome back at the University of Siegen! (Class reunions, campus tours) Perhaps there’s even something to celebrate, such as the anniversary of your graduation? Or we can create an occasion for you to visit your university again, for example, as part of our Emeriti gatherings.
Class Reunions / Alumni Gatherings
Find your way back to the University of Siegen! Meet your former classmates, see what the University of Siegen is doing today, and discover where it’s headed. Whether you’d like to tour your former department, get a behind-the-scenes look at daily university life today, discuss current research topics with faculty members from your department, or have lunch again with your former classmates in the cafeteria.
We’ll organize your homecoming for you. The University’s Alumni Office would be happy to assist you with the planning and help you reconnect with your former classmates! Get in touch with us!
If you’d like to arrange a visit, please contact us by email at alumniverbund@uni-siegen.de or by phone at 0271/740-4912.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Anniversary Reunion
An exam anniversary is reason enough to gather once again at your former campus, relive the unforgettable days of your college years, and celebrate the occasion in style—even after years of working life. Join your former classmates in reminiscing about the past, and also learn how your alma mater has developed and changed since then. It doesn’t matter whether your graduation was 25 years ago or even longer, or whether you completed your studies before 1972 at one of the predecessor institutions of the University of Siegen and are celebrating your 50th graduation anniversary.
Upon request, we’ll work with you to organize a customized event program at the University of Siegen that can be a special occasion for you and your alumni group.
If you’re interested, please reach out to us and let us know your preferences. Simply send us a message at alumniverbund@uni-siegen.de or call us at 0271/740-4912.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Emeritus Faculty Gathering
Retired professors have played a key role in shaping the University of Siegen for decades. They remain important representatives of scholarship and teaching for the University of Siegen—even after their active careers have ended. The University of Siegen invites its emeritus faculty and retirees to return to their former workplace for an Emeritus Faculty Reunion, to reconnect with former colleagues, and to exchange ideas with one another. A lot has changed at the university since they retired. Therefore, the gathering also provides an opportunity to learn about current developments at the University of Siegen and gain insight into changes, as well as current research projects and developments in teaching.
In 2019, the first university-wide Emeriti Gathering was held at the University of Siegen on the relatively new Unteres Schloss campus, with emeritus faculty from all Schools in attendance.
