Overview
With its knowledge and technical equipment, the Chair of Steel Construction and Steel Composite Construction is available as a point of contact for industry, public building authorities and engineering firms. Our range of activities covers the entire field of structural and civil engineering with a particular focus on the monitoring and evaluation of structures in structural and transportation engineering.
In addition to the development, calculation and optimization of steel and composite structures, we work on practical research and development projects in close cooperation with industrial partners. We have access to state-of-the-art measurement technology, powerful simulation methods and the experimental facilities of the Institute of Structural Engineering's building materials laboratory.
