Constituted student body
Student bodies in NRW have the right to manage their own affairs. To this end, the students draw up their own statutes and elect representatives at student council and university level.
The constituted student body encompasses all student structures within the university. It promotes the cultural, political and social participation of students and enables them to shape the university environment themselves.
Students at the University of Siegen are organized in many departments and initiatives in addition to their student councils. They are represented university-wide by the student parliament and the AStA. Student councils, autonomous departments and student initiatives communicate with each other in the autonomous student council coordination.
