Open University / Ready to Study 2025
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the Open University will take place again from 10:00 to 16:00 on the Schlossplatz of the Lower Castle in Siegen.
Ready to start your studies? At Ready to Studyyou will find all the information you need about studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree at the University of Siegen. Citizens, students and alumni as well as all members of the university are also cordially invited - students, researchers and employees will give an insight into their work.
At over 50 stands and hands-on stations, visitors can find out all about university life and get active themselves. The day will be accompanied by lots of music - from the university big band to pop and rock bands.
A highlight will be the lecture by Mirko Drotschmann (also known as MrWissen2Go), who will discuss the topic FAKE NEWS: A threat to democracy?
