Long Night of Postponed Work (LaNa): The UB is taking part again!
The next Long Night of Postponed Work (LaNa) will take place on Thursday, 10.07.2025. It is organized by the Lernwerkstatt Lehrer*innenbildung and the OASE.
The University Library is again participating with its own offers, but is also making rooms available for the offers of other central institutions.

Here is the overview of events at the UB-AR:
- The main library AR is open until midnight that evening.
- You can book our group study rooms until midnight.
- At 18:30 the course "More than googling: Thematic literature searches with a system" will take place in the training room (AR-UB 040).
- From 18:30 - 21:00, trained writing peer tutors from ZefaS will be in the building and can support you with your writing project in a personal consultation. The consultations take place in the group study rooms 034 and 035 on level 0 in the University Library. Registration is possible on site from 6.30 pm.
- The "Individual research consultation" is also offered from 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. to support you in a personal consultation in researching, procuring and evaluating suitable literature for your seminar paper or thesis.
Location: Group study room 033 on level 0 in the University Library. - "ZefaS writing and reading time" from 7.30 - 9 p.m. in the Self-Study Center on level 2 (AR-UB 211) for all those who want to start with a writing impulse in the company of other writers and under the guidance of a writing peer tutor, structure their writing time and set goals for their next steps at the end.
- At 8 p.m., the psychological counselor from the University of Siegen will give you tips on the topic "Clear head - calm heart" for about 20 minutes. Venue: Workshop room (AR-UB 038)
- At 8:30 p.m. we offer two parallel basic courses on literature management : "Basic knowledge of Citavi" and "Basic knowledge of Zotero" in the workshop room (AR-UB 038) and in the training room (AR-UB 040).
Meeting point: lending desk - During a writing or study break, you can take part in a short sports session entitled "Energizer - small games for new concentration" at 10 p.m., which will be conducted by a member of the university sports staff in room AR-UB 114 (staircase foyer).
- Free coffee, tea, mineral water and pastries (with fresh waffles) are also available in the Bib-Café.
- The lending desk is staffed until midnight and there are colleagues on site who will be happy to assist you in your search for information.
