Call for Proposals: SHK/WHB at the Office for Equal Opportunity/Service Office for an Inclusive University of Siegen
We are looking for:
In the Equal Opportunity Office, Service Office for an Inclusive University of Siegen, we are seeking a student assistant (SHK) or a research assistant with a bachelor’s degree to start as soon as possible under the following conditions:
- 5 hours per week
- Fixed-term contract until April 30, 2027; extension possible thereafter
- Employment based on the German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act
Your responsibilities:
- Supporting the Service Office in organizing and implementing initiatives related to inclusion
- Contributing to public relations efforts: assisting with the creation and distribution of informational materials (e.g., flyers, news articles on the website) based on existing templates and the corporate design, as well as providing editorial support for social media posts
- Supporting students with disabilities or chronic illnesses as an inclusion tutor and/or through peer-to-peer counseling
Your Profile:
- Enrollment at the University of Siegen
- Interest in the topics of inclusion and accessibility
- Proficiency in using MS Office and the ability to work independently; knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Adobe InDesign) and a content management system is desirable
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
- Ability to work in a structured and independent manner; empathy, enjoyment of teamwork, organizational skills, and initiative
