A mentoring program for women has been running at the University of Siegen for 15 years. A reason to rejoice, because the interest of female academics in the Women's Mentoring Siegen (FraMeS) program remains high. But also a reason for irritation: do women in science need extra support? Yes, according to the anniversary celebration. Unfortunately, the answer is still yes.

The “Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics” has been awarded to four flagship experiments at CERN, the world’s largest particle accelerator. Researchers from the University of Siegen played a decisive role in this achievement.
