Project description
The project aims to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into industrial-technical teacher training. In cooperation between the University of Siegen, the Berufskolleg Technik Siegen and the Smarten Lernfabrik Buschhütten, a practice-oriented teaching/learning module is being developed that will enable prospective vocational school teachers to integrate AI-supported technologies in a didactically sound manner into subject-specific lessons based on learning fields.
The focus is on the use of AI tools in lesson planning in a way that reflects vocational science and is therefore close to the requirements, and on addressing the content of industrial AI applications in the industrial-technical disciplines. In addition, an open source tutor bot will be set up to enable personalized learning in asynchronous teaching formats.
The results will be made available as Open Educational Resources (OER) and will serve as a model for the curricular anchoring of AI skills in vocational teacher training in the context of digital transformation and Industry 4.0.
