The most important points at a glance
- Low-threshold access: logging in with your ZIMT account is all you need to work securely with AI models.
- Various functionalities: Advanced text generation, editing and support for scientific writing, AI-supported group chats, cross-device availability, interactive knowledge transfer, etc. make HAWKI future-oriented.
- Data protection: HAWKI is GDPR-compliant. Requests (prompts) to HAWKI are transmitted via an API (Application Programming Interface), which means that no direct assignment to individual users is possible. In addition, the chat content is not processed as training data for the Large Language Model (LLM).
Basis for use
According to the requirements of Art. 4 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, participation in a self-learning course to impart basic knowledge about AI is mandatory.
The course "AI competence at the University of Siegen" can be taken in Moodle.
The university has also adopted a guideline on the use of HAWKI. This also contains specific regulations for the various university groups (students, teaching staff, employees). The guideline is available on the HAWKI platform.
