ZIMT's URL Shortener service makes it possible to replace long and complex web addresses with short URLs that are easier to share.

The URL Shortener offers various application options, including:

  • Courses: Providing short links to online resources for teaching materials and exercises.
  • Events: Shortening URLs for invitations, agenda links and event registrations.
  • Research projects: Sharing links to publications, datasets and research platforms.
  • Administrative purposes: Use of short URLs for internal documents, forms and guidelines. The URL Shortener facilitates the efficient use and management of web addresses at the University of Siegen and supports university communication and information transparency.

Please note

Only "uni-siegen addresses" can be shortened.

For external short URLs, please use the relevant services (e.g. t1p.de).
