Application Deadlines
For all other bachelor’s degree programs, applications for review of eligibility for university admission may be submitted by the end of August for the following winter semester or by the end of February for the following summer semester. We recommend applying as early as possible once you have your high school diploma, proof of German language proficiency, and, if applicable, results from other exams such as the TestAS or an entrance exam from your home country.
For all other master’s programs, an application is required to verify academic and language proficiency. The application periods are listed for each program in the course catalog. Please note that due to the visa process, application deadlines for English-language Master’s programs and for non-EU students often end as early as April 30—or even earlier—for the following winter semester, or October 31 for the following summer semester!
We recommend applying as early as possible once you have your degree certificates and proof of your proficiency in German or English.
You may apply for admission to the doctoral program at any time to the relevant doctoral committee. Please note that the doctoral committees meet on an irregular basis. Enrollment in the doctoral program is possible from July through the end of October for the winter semester and from January through the end of April for the summer semester.
