Doctorate at the University of Siegen
The decision to do a doctorate is an important step with many opportunities. It is a long-term project that requires academic interest, independence and perseverance. In addition to a possible academic career, a doctorate also teaches interdisciplinary skills such as analytical thinking and project management. It is therefore important to ask yourself in advance: What goal am I pursuing with my doctorate? Those who choose this path should not only enjoy research, but also consider how the doctorate will contribute to their own professional and personal development. In addition, a doctorate improves career prospects in many areas, opens up access to demanding positions and often has a positive effect on salary. It is also highly regarded and can open doors - both in academia and in business and beyond.
