The Budget Committee is the only standing committee of the Student Parliament and is defined in the NRW Higher Education Act. Its members may not be members of the AStA. Among other things, the committee makes recommendations on the budget, the financial results and the discharge of the Finance Department.

The Search Committee is responsible for finding vacant positions. To this end, it drafts job advertisements and advises the student parliament.

The Hardship Committee is the only committee consisting of five delegated members and examines hardship applications rejected by the AStA.

The Statutes Committee drafts, recommends and reviews regulations and amendments to the statutes.

The Election Committee plans, organizes and takes care of the elections.

The Student Parliament can set up a committee of inquiry at the request of five percent of the student body or one third of the Student Parliament.

Upon request, the StuPa can set up further committees for individual areas of responsibility.

The Presidium represents the Student Parliament externally and chairs the meetings.

The Presidium receives an expense allowance for each meeting it conducts.

The minute-taker draws up the minutes of the meetings and makes them available. There is currently no permanent minute-taker.

The minute-taker receives an expense allowance for each hour of meeting minutes.

The General Assembly takes place at least once a semester and includes all members of the student body.

Every student can found a student initiative and can be recognized by the student parliament. Recognized initiatives can apply to the student parliament for their own funds.
