The healthcare system is facing major challenges: Rural care, an ageing society and the introduction of new, digital practices. The degree program combines the fields of (bio)medicine, technology and health economics and sociology in an interdisciplinary way.
In the natural sciences specialization Biomedical Technology, you will learn to develop and apply biomedical technologies for medical care in a patient-oriented and care-related manner. The focus is on application-oriented basic research and the development of new technical approaches to diagnosis, prevention, therapy and aftercare.
Through cooperation with clinical training partners from the region and research internships, the degree program prepares you for your future career in a practical way.

Preparation for your studies
Schools IV offers various preparatory courses to prepare students for their studies. These follow on from the school curriculum and provide optimal preparation for the start of studies. Participation is voluntary, but makes the transition between school and university much easier. The preparatory courses are suitable for all degree programs offered by the NT Schools.

Students have the opportunity to acquire a wide range of medical-related knowledge in individually supervised seminars, lectures and practical exercises so that they can later work as experts in a variety of professions.
Possible employers include research institutions and universities, the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, insurance companies, healthcare associations, companies in the healthcare industry and workplace health promotion or public institutions such as health authorities in municipalities.
