Academic Organization
Departmental Examination Regulations (FPOs) define the basic structure of a degree program (e.g., admission requirements and course content). When students enroll in their first semester, the current version of an FPO automatically applies to them. This means that even if changes are made to the FPO during the course of their studies, the original version in effect at the time of enrollment remains valid (provided that this FPO has not expired). The respective study plan outlines the recommended sample course of study for each subject and is part of an FPO. Supplementary regulations and detailed information for each module to be taken can be found in the module handbooks (e.g., prerequisites for taking a written exam or content details of the modules/courses, …). The internship regulations define the conditions under which mandatory or optional internships must be completed.
Before the start of the lecture period, we recommend that you at least review the study plan for your degree program so that you know which modules are scheduled for the beginning of your studies.
