Our research profile
Research focus of our chair
Our chair focuses on theoretical and empirical research into start-ups and SMEs as well as selected issues of personnel management in young companies and SMEs. In particular, topics relating to the personal, company-specific and regional influencing factors of business start-ups form the focus of the chair's research.
Further research focuses on the analysis of health and well-being in entrepreneurship, in particular the psychological and physical stress of founders and the identification of stress-prone phases in the entrepreneurial process. The chair also examines the interplay between work and family in self-employment, startup incubators and entrepreneurial ecosystems as well as their regional framework conditions. The research also deals with the challenges of personnel management in SMEs, strategies for dealing with the shortage of skilled workers and the causes and dynamics of corporate crises and insolvencies.
