Enabling culture
Abstact: The University of Siegen creates an environment that promotes individual learning and personal development as well as joint and collaborative learning situations. Resilience and the courage to innovate are to be promoted through an appreciative and learning-oriented enabling culture in which mistakes are seen as learning opportunities. Flexible study structures, regular feedback procedures, innovative forms and formats of performance and assessment as well as support services enable students to fully exploit their potential and shape their own educational paths.
Theory and practice orientation
Abstract: In its teaching, the University of Siegen combines sound theory with practical application. Through cooperation with external practice partners, students are specifically prepared for professional and academic requirements. Subject specialization takes place in an exemplary and generalist context in order to promote the ability to reflect and professional flexibility. Academic specialization is usefully supplemented by the curricular integration of personal development.

A clear presentation of all support and service offers of the University of Siegen, which are mentioned in the subject areas, is planned.
