ELYSIUM is a concert performance that transports the audience to a fascinating future: here, performance, art song, and spoken theater merge into a unique experience. The performance asks what it means to be human in the digital age. As machines expand our physical and cognitive abilities and drive the pursuit of perfection, the COLLIDE Quartet explores the origins of this process. How do we define ourselves in a world shaped by technology? Are we striving for an unattainable perfection, or do we find ourselves in imperfection?
ELYSIUM is the vision of a utopia that promises salvation and dissolution. The musical spectrum ranges from the Renaissance to modern composers such as The Killers and Moritz Eggert, creating a powerful juxtaposition of comparisons and contrasts.

The COLLIDE Quartet —a beautifully harmonious ensemble comprising a soprano, a baritone, a pianist, and a performance and media artist. Since its founding in 2020 in North Rhine-Westphalia, it has quickly developed into one of the most innovative and experimental music ensembles in the classical music industry in the German-speaking world. Conceptual, multimedia programs with elements of music theater form the basis of its work. Audiovisual elements, spoken word, and choreography expand the quartet’s song repertoire from the 16th to the 21st century into an interdisciplinary Gesamtkunstwerk. A must-see!
