Energy prices are rising, CO₂ costs are increasing and regulatory requirements are becoming stricter.

Energy management at the University of Siegen involves the systematic analysis and optimization of energy consumption in order to increase energy efficiency, cut costs and reduce emissions.

It combines technical and organizational measures - based on the DIN EN ISO 50001 standard - for a continuous improvement process and to implement the energy efficiency measures of the Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG) and monitor their impact.
