The Department of Architecture introduces itself

21 graduates of the "Planning and Building in Existing Contexts" Master's degree course at the University of Siegen celebrated their successful graduation on April 1, 2026. The best theses were also honored in a subsequent ceremony - including the prestigious BDA Siegen-Olpe-Wittgenstein award.

A tower construction competition took place on 03.02.2026 in the BA 11.1 - Supporting Structure module with students from the Bachelor's degree course in Architecture.

We are pleased to welcome Jan Kampshoff as a new professor in the Department of Spatial Conception and Design!

The department cordially invites all architecture students to the semester opening on April 1 in the upper floor of the former "Druckhaus" of the Siegener Zeitung at Häutebachweg 17. At the event, the topics for final theses and designs as well as the contents of the elective modules/specializations in summer semester 26 for Bachelor (from 3rd semester) and Master students will be presented.

To mark its 20th anniversary, the Master's degree program is hosting the "Learning from NRW" conference. The focus is on the future of urban development as well as university policy issues and perspectives on urban development teaching.

The Kunstverein Siegen invites you to the opening of the exhibition _ _ _STADT, which is taking place in the former Karstadt building and Haus Seel. The project will temporarily open up an unusual inner-city vacancy as an exhibition space.

Since 2026, BA students have had the opportunity to apply for the summer semester 2026 in addition to the regular enrollment for the Master's degree program in Architecture with a focus on Planning and Building in Existing Contexts at the Department of Architecture at the University of Siegen in the winter semester.

Delirious University of Siegen brings together design works that have emerged from a university in transition and a city of overlaps. Siegen does not appear here as a closed structure, but as a spatial condensation of displacement, rupture and simultaneity.
