Junior Professor Dr. Tine Haubner at the Forum Siegen
The Siegen Forum continues on Tuesday, January 13!
In the face of multiple crises, government policy is facing new challenges. In the context of the pandemic and in the care and nursing sector, privatization tendencies raise key problems. In her lecture, Jun.-Prof.in Dr. Tine Haubner explains the thesis of a linked mode: In the sense of caring communities, a "community capitalism" is increasingly emerging, which is essentially based on unpaid work.
She will be speaking on the topic of"A new social contract of caring: Volunteering in community capitalism".

Forum Siegen: Lecture - Discussion - Exchange
The manifold problems of our time do not allow science to be practiced only in an academic ivory tower. Even if scientific research and enlightenment cannot conjure up patent remedies and concise instructions, they are able to shape many insights and decisions in all areas of society through methodical training, critical questions and conditional information.
Acting in difficult times increasingly requires reflection. The Siegen Forum therefore discusses problems and examines methods that are important for "practice" in politics, business and culture. Representatives from all academic disciplines will have their say - and listen.
A total of nine events will be held this semester under the general theme of "Civil Society under Pressure", each focusing on a different exciting topic from a different discipline.
You can find the complete program for the semester here:
Registration is not necessary.
You are welcome to come to the Forum Siegen with your friends!
