An event organized by Forum Siegen in cooperation with the Collaborative Research Center SFB 1472 "Transformations of the Popular" at the University of Siegen. Funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Forum Siegen is bringing together a total of nine events under the umbrella theme "Civil Society under Pressure" , each of which will focus on different exciting topics from different disciplines.

The manifold problems of our time do not allow science to be practiced only in an academic ivory tower. Even if scientific research and enlightenment cannot conjure up patent remedies and concise instructions, they are able to shape many insights and decisions in all areas of society through methodical training, critical questions and conditional information.
Acting in difficult times increasingly requires reflection. The Siegen Forum therefore discusses problems and examines methods that are important for "practice" in politics, business and culture. Representatives of all academic disciplines will have their say - and listen.
Registration is not necessary.
