This two-day workshop serves to promote a critical and empowering attitude towards discrimination in the university context. What does it mean to develop an attitude that is sensitive to diversity and critical of discrimination? How can we train an approach that enables empowerment and power-sharing?
After an introduction to the effects and forms of discrimination, intersectionality and the principles of empowerment, we will take an in-depth look at racism and whiteness. We will then translate the concepts introduced into our own practice together and reflect on our own attitudes.
How can we interrupt situations and discuss them together? Which possible transgressions do I (not) perceive and why? The focus is on the question of attitude: How do I select material and methods? What expectations do I have of my mediation methods? For whom or with whom do I design spaces? This workshop serves as a reflection for people with multiple privileges.
