Notes on the preparation of scientific papers

To ensure that your work meets the academic standards of the chair, it is essential that you follow our formal guidelines. They help you to work in a structured, comprehensible and correct manner - and thus form an important basis for scientific work.

Please read the guidelines carefully before you begin your work. Failure to observe our formal guidelines will result in a lower grade for your thesis.

You can find the current guidelines here:

Literature research forms the basis of every academic paper. It makes it possible to record the current state of research, classify your own questions and develop a well-founded argumentation.

You can find an overview of online databases for literature research here:

You are also welcome to use our departmental library
for literature research.

If you are interested in being supervised, please find out more about our main topics and contact us - we look forward to hearing your ideas and supporting you on your way to your thesis.

If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact us by e-mail or arrange a personal consultation. Supervision requests should be addressed to Prof. Dr. Krebs.

IMPORTANT! Please note:

After the first preliminary meeting, you still have to register for the respective seminar examination- in addition to the course registration described above - also via unisono; this is the examination registration for the seminar under examination law. Exam registration takes place in the first four weeks of the lecture period; you can see the exact deadlines in your unisono account. After that, you can only withdraw for good cause. If you do not register for the examination by the deadline, any work completed later in the seminar cannot be recognized.
