Course registration

All courses in the Faculty I: Faculty of Arts and Humanities are subject to registration, i.e. you must register for all courses via the campus management system unisono within the applicable registration deadlines.

The course catalog can be viewed at the earliest ten weeks before the start of lectures. Registration for courses begins eight weeks before the start of lectures.

  • from 04.08.2025 - Orientation phase: In the two weeks after publication of the course catalog on 04.08.2025, students can find out about the courses on offer.
  • 18.08. to 07.09.2025 - Enrolment phase 1: Course enrolment in unisono is only possible from 18.08.2025. During this time, lecturers can neither approve nor reject enrolments.
  • 18.08. to 09.10.2025 (13:00!): First semester deadline for courses intended for the 1st semester in the Bachelor's degree program. The allocation of places for these courses is only possible from 09.10. (after 13:00).
  • 08.09. to 21.09.2025 - Allocation of places for the first semester by the lecturers/curriculum planners.
  • 22.09. to 05.10.2025 - allocation phase 2: This phase allows students to respond to rejections from the first allocation phase. Unlike in the first enrollment phase, students can be admitted to or rejected from courses during this period. Courses that are already full do not have to be reopened for registration!
  • 06.10. to 08.02.2026 - Enrolment phase 3 (optional): In addition, selected courses may be assigned further enrollment periods if they start late in the semester or are planned as an additional offer. The information as to whether there is a further booking option can be seen in unisono on the individual courses.

  1. When registering for courses, pay attention to the module assignment in the structure tree and check whether the requirements stipulated in the examination regulations of the relevant degree program have been met.
  2. The time at which a course is taken in phase 1 is irrelevant for possible admission.
