German Studies Seminar
The German Studies Department deals with literature and language with regard to their historical conditions of origin, aesthetic structures, media manifestations and their cultural embedding or social and societal (political and economic) function, each with a strong reference to contemporary discourses such as contemporary literature, multilingualism, political communication and popular culture.
We teach literature didactics, medieval studies, modern German literature, language didactics and linguistics and teach on various disciplinary and interdisciplinary B.A., M.A. and teacher training courses.
