Product Ergonomics

Here, we demonstrate the use of objective and subjective methods to evaluate the ergonomic quality of various products. We use not only digital measurement technology—such as the XSENS motion capture system—but also digital human models. Another analytical method is presented below using scalefit, which determines stress values for various joints in terms of force, posture, and repetition rate.

Production Ergonomics

We conduct comprehensive and detailed analyses of workstations and production processes to precisely identify physical strain on workers as well as unnecessary movements and the time they consume. Our innovative approach combines state-of-the-art technologies such as Xsens and the wireless OEMG from Noraxon.

Using specialized software, including the digital factory (ema), we are able to thoroughly analyze and optimize assembly and production scenarios using proven methods such as EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment Work Sheet) and MTM (Methods-Time Measurement). In this way, we not only create more efficient workflows but also promote employee well-being and improve ergonomics in industrial applications.

Environmental Ergonomics

Here you’ll learn how acoustic and thermal conditions in various environments can be comprehensively assessed. We use advanced analysis tools, including the Head Acoustic phantom head with Squadriga and the Svantek in-ear microphone, to conduct precise acoustic analyses. The sound recordings are evaluated using the powerful, modular software platform ArtemiS SUITE, which was specifically developed for the analysis of sound and vibrations. In our psychoacoustics lab, we delve deeply into acoustic perceptions and investigate how sounds influence our environment.

Thermal stress is also analyzed using modern thermal imaging cameras fromFLIR to obtain a comprehensive picture of the conditions. Our FLIR thermal imaging camera enables precise recording and analysis of temperature data to optimally evaluate applications and work environments and make adjustments as needed. Our department has many years of experience in the field of cold-temperature workstations and offers in-depth expertise in optimizing work environments.
