Why learn Italian?

Our Italian courses help you to better understand the country, its culture and everyday life - from Italian films and music to food, fashion and university life in Italy. Einstufung_hellblau

If you have not yet taken an Italian course at the Language Center in the past two semesters, register for an Italian course ("desired course") via unisono during the registration phases.
The desired course is selected on the basis of your personal assessment using the self-assessment grid
of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

If you have a valid proof or certificate of language proficiency, a placement test is not required.

Platzhalter

As a retired habilitated literary scholar, Ms. Grazia Dolores Folliero-Metz continues to be active in comparative research and the didactics of Italian language and culture. She has been teaching Italian at the Language Center with great enthusiasm since 2017. Because between everyday Italian life and the heights of literature and culture, the only key is the Italian language: a classical, canonical language of incredible musicality.

I particularly liked the communicative aspect of the course. I often find it difficult to express myself spontaneously and fluently in a foreign language. Practicing this in a relaxed atmosphere was very helpful.

The course was very interactive and you were encouraged to talk to each other in a relaxed way to boost your confidence when speaking.

I really enjoy the Italian courses with Mr. Meli because he always teaches with a lot of passion and motivation. Apart from the language, you also learn a lot about the culture and the teaching methods are varied.

What I particularly liked about the course was the casual and relaxed atmosphere, the conversations and the good preparation for the exam.

Italian with Mr. Meli is always fun. I'm now on my third Italian course with him and it's great every time.

What I like about the course is the open atmosphere. You can always ask questions without feeling embarrassed. I think that's particularly important when you're learning a new language.
