DAAD language certificate
The Language Center issues DAAD language certificates for all languages taught (except DaF). These are often required for applications abroad (study visits, internships). To find out which language level is required and whether the DAAD language certificate is accepted, please contact the respective program, the chosen university or the institution providing the internship. You can obtain detailed information and advice on stays abroad from the International Student Affairs department.

For English, the test consists of the following parts:
- Reading competence and global language competence: onSET Placement Test
(computer-based C-test), 40 minutes - Written expression: essay on a general topic with the requirement of academic language use (400-500 words), 45 minutes
- Oral examination (conducted by the English subject coordinator): Interview on the planned stay abroad (plans, goals, expectations, professional aspects), 10-15 minutes
Dates in the lecture period SoSe 2026:
- Wednesday, May 13
- Wednesday, June 17
each from 11:30 am (11:30-12:30 onSET, 12:45-13:45 essay, from approx. 2 pm interview/oral) in presence at the Language Center.
