Interested in writing a thesis at the LMW?

Are you interested in writing your bachelor’s or master’s thesis in the field of materials science, materials testing, or materials engineering? At the LMW, students tackle practical and scientifically relevant research questions—ranging from materials characterization and mechanical testing methods to additive manufacturing and sustainable materials concepts.

We welcome your own ideas. In addition to the topics listed, there’s often the opportunity to work together to develop a custom topic. If you have specific interests or initial ideas, we’d be happy to explore whether they could form the basis of a suitable bachelor’s or master’s thesis.
