The Marie Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin is the largest public university in Poland on the eastern side of the Vistula River. Founded in 1944, it is an institution deeply rooted in the region, serving as a cultural and opinion-forming force and contributing significantly to the development of a knowledge-based economy.
