The AAT program is designed to prepare its students for the professions of audit, tax or management consultants as well as for an academic career. Due to the flexible nature of its module structure, the AAT program provides the relevant national and international necessities of each discipline to enter the foresaid career options, while as well specialization as a more generalist shaping of the individual experience remains possible. Depending on individual career targets, the AAT program allows its participants to engage deeply with recent topics of theoretical and practical relevance within the fields of accounting, corporate governance, taxation, economics, law and general management, among others.
The programme can be started in either the summer or winter semester. It consists of 3 compulsory Accounting & Auditing modules (18 ECTS, modules 3AATMA101, 3AATMA102 and 3AATMA103), 3 compulsory Taxation modules (18 ECTS, modules 3AATMA105, 3AATMA106 and 3AATMA107), a compulsory Seminar Accounting & Governance (module 3AATMA104, 6 ECTS), a compulsory Seminar Taxation (module 3AATMA108, 6 ECTS), an elective area (54 ECTS), and the Master's thesis (module 3AATMA109, 18 ECTS).
In the elective area, students can choose either 9 modules @ 6 ECTS or 6 modules @ 6 ECTS credits and 2 modules @ 9 ECTS credits from the module catalogue. For further information on lectures, seminars, exercises and research projects, please visit the campus management system unisono.uni-siegen.de.
