Lecture at Hanoi Law University

On April 6, 2015, Prof. Rösler gave a lecture on “The Economics and Functions of Contract Law” at Hanoi Law University.


This was Prof. Rösler’s third visit to Vietnam at the invitation of the GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation) to provide advice on the reform of the Vietnamese Civil Code. Germany supports the reform, particularly in the areas of contract law and property law, as part of the German-Vietnamese Rule of Law Dialogue. Information on Vietnamese law, including the Civil Code of 2005 (which was current at the time), can be found on the website of the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice.
