Rethinking Campus Life: Creating Space for Connections
Inspiring and Connecting Higher Education —under this motto, ORCA.nrw invites you to the fifth ORCA.nrw Conference at Ruhr University Bochum on December 2, 2026.
Faculty, researchers, students, and other interested parties have until September 30, 2026, to submit proposals for the conference. This year’s focus is particularly on artificial intelligence and digital sovereignty in teaching and learning. We’re looking not only for established success stories but also for experiences, open questions, and initiatives from which other universities can learn.
Possible topics range from AI in teaching, learning, and assessment to digital infrastructures and sovereign tools, as well as OER in the AI era. Additional submissions on digitalization in academic studies and teaching are also welcome.
There are four submission formats to choose from for this call: Practical Insight, Demonstration, Discussion Topic, and Workshop Report. Submissions must include an abstract of no more than 2,000 characters.
