Open educational resources offer a wide range of opportunities to collaboratively develop, share, and reuse teaching and learning materials in various educational contexts. That is why the ORCA.nrw OER Symposium 2026 will focus on practical exchanges related to open educational resources.
The third edition of this online event will provide insights into various OER projects across different academic disciplines. The project spotlights will present specific materials and experiences—along with the question of how these can be used and further developed for one’s own teaching.
The connection between OER and artificial intelligence also plays an important role: The workshops will address, among other things, how AI can support the search, creation, and quality assurance of OER, as well as the opportunities and limitations to consider in this context.
In addition, the symposium offers opportunities for discussion and networking with other faculty members and OER advocates.
