Students vote: StuPa and student council elections are scheduled from June 23 to 27

The hot phase of student co-determination begins at the University of Siegen at the end of June: the student parliament and student councils will be newly elected. If you want to have a say, you should make a note of the election dates - and don't forget your student ID. Nominations are possible until June 2.

Between June 23 and 27, 2025, the approximately 14,000 students at the University of Siegen are called upon to elect their representatives in the Student Parliament (StuPa) and in the Student Representative Councils (FSR). The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on all election days. To be able to vote, you must bring a valid student ID with you.

Election proposals must be submitted in writing to the election committee at the AStA office (AR-H 105) by June 2.

All members of the student body who have been enrolled since May 1, 2025 and are listed in the official electoral register are eligible to vote. Students on leave of absence may also vote and are eligible. However, guest students and secondary students are not eligible to vote.

If you are unable to vote on election day, you can also vote by post. All information on how to apply and the procedure can be found online.

The approved nominations will be published on June 9 at the latest.
