If you are privately insured, please apply to a statutory health insurance company for exemption from compulsory insurance. The so-called H-number of the University of Siegen is H0000671. Doctoral students and pre-students in "Brücken ins Studium" do not have to inform the health insurance company of the start of their studies.
After the complete upload of all required documents:
To submit all documents in unison, click on the "Submit documents" button and confirm the text in the pop-up window with "yes". The application and the uploaded documents will be checked by the University of Siegen. Changes to the uploads and further uploads are only possible after the check. You will be informed by email about the next steps.
If documents are to be uploaded in stages, this can be done after the upload by clicking on the "Temporarily save changes" button. The documents will not yet be checked and the application will not yet be processed!
Once all the required documents have been submitted in full and the health insurance company has confirmed your insurance status electronically, you will receive a welcome email in the next few days with important information and a request to pay the semester fee. Please transfer the amount immediately, as enrollment can only be completed once your payment has been received by the University of Siegen.
If any documents are missing or incorrect, you will be asked by email to upload the missing or correct documents. In individual cases, the Registrar's Office will request certified copies or original documents.

It lasts 2 semesters and is successful if at least 40 credit points are earned within the first 2 semesters. Only credits earned during the trial study period are taken into account for successful completion of the trial study period. Credited achievements, e.g. from a previous degree course, cannot be taken into account.
Entrance examination
For other professionally qualified persons, an entrance examination is only required for all Bachelor's degree programs with restricted admission at the University of Siegen. No entrance examination can be taken for admission-free degree courses.
Other professionally qualified persons must take the entrance examination for these degree courses in order to have a chance of gaining a place. The entrance examination is used to determine whether the subject and methodological requirements for the specific degree course chosen are met. The examination covers general and subject-related knowledge. The examination usually consists of a written and an oral part.
With the average grade of the certificate of the passed entrance examination, an application must then be submitted for the summer semester by 15 January of a year and for the winter semester by 15 July of a year via the online portal Unisono of the University of Siegen and in some cases a registration via hochschulstart.de in order to be able to participate in the selection procedure.
