Large appliance: LPBF system (3DS)

The LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) system enables the additive manufacturing of complex metallic components.
It is used across all chairs in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Siegen and is organizationally linked to the Chair of Product Development.
Current areas of application include prototyping, materials science investigations and the production of function-oriented components and samples for research.
