Dr. Stephan Krayter
Vita
Stephan Krayter studied Social Sciences at the University of Siegen (B.A. 2016, M.A. 2018). From 2018 to 2022, he was a research associate in the junior research group MEPYSO on the medicalization and psychologization of social problems, led by Dr. Nadine Reibling. He completed his doctorate on this topic in 2025. From 2022 to 2024, he worked at the Chair of Digital Public Health (Prof. Dr. Christoph Dockweiler) in the projects TelReKo on telerehabilitation aftercare and KINBIOTICS on AI-supported antibiotic therapy. Since October 2023, he has been working in the FUSION project, first with Prof. Dr. Christoph Strünck and since May 2024 at the Chair of Information Systems, esp. IT for the Ageing Society (Prof. Dr. Claudia Müller). His research in HCI and CSCW explores how technology can improve healthcare provision and better connect professional and informal actors, with a focus on participatory and co-creative approaches. He is also co-speaker of the “Health in the Region” cluster at the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Research (ZIGS) and a member of the Steering Committee of the European Society for Socially Embedded Technologies (EUSSET).
